Pro-Palestinian protests are continuing at college campuses across the country today. Early this morning, Los Angeles police moved in to clear an encampment on UCLA's campus. Law enforcement officials said more than a hundred people were arrested.        The lawyer who represented the two women at the center of Donald Trump's New York trial is done testifying. Keith Davidson was the lawyer for both playboy model Karen McDougal and adult film star Stormy Daniels. The prosecution claims a 130-thousand dollar payment to Daniels was part of a "hush-money" scheme to influence the 2016 election.        The number of Americans filing for first time unemployment claims is essentially unchanged this week. The Labor Department reports receiving 208-thousand requests for first time jobless benefits, lining up with the revised number from the previous week. Most analysts had expected today's number to come in at around 212-thousand.       It will cost nearly two-billion dollars to reconstruct the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore. Maryland Transportation Secretary Paul Wiedefeld told the "Baltimore Sun" and "Washington Post" Thursday that replacing the collapsed structure will come with a preliminary price tag of between one-point-seven-billion dollars and one-point-nine-billion. Wiedefeld also says the new bridge should be complete by the fall of 2028.        Southwest Airlines will be required to offer 75-dollar travel vouchers for certain cancellations and delays. This comes after the company suffered what some call a "holiday meltdown" in 2022. The U.S. Transportation Department announced this week the airline will need to give compensation as part of a deal reached after the incident that "stranded millions of passengers across the country."        The NAACP is partnering with Lyft to help get voters to the polls this November. The 2024 Lyft Up Voting Access Program will share information about voting access as well as provide free and discounted rides to the polls. It also aims to help both riders and drivers register to vote and understand the ID requirements.
