At least four people are dead and hundreds of thousands are without power in Texas after severe weather hit the Houston area. City officials confirmed the deaths Thursday night as powerlines and trees were knocked down across the city.       The House has passed a bill to prevent President Biden from withholding weapons to Israel. The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles has recommended a full pardon for Daniel Perry. He was convicted in the 2020 death of Garrett Foster, who was part of the George Floyd protests.        Gas prices in California will increase thanks to a clean air tax. The California Air Resources Board is mandating that 50 cents per gallon be added to the price of gasoline in an effort to move California away from petroleum-powered engines by 2035.       Nearly 60-percent of the world's coral reefs have become bleached in the last year. On Thursday, the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration announced coral reefs around the globe are undergoing a mass bleaching event due to record-high ocean temperatures.
