Tuesday, July 11 3:00- 4:30 Robin Putnam is presenting a well tested program on how to avoid scams and identity theft. This free program is available to the community as well as Seniors. Also on July 11 the Zentangle class will be offered from 5-7. Zentangle is a new way to approach drawing for those who think they can’t. This program is also excellent for people who have had strokes, or who suffer from tremors. The relaxation and techniques aid in strengthening muscles that have not been used for a long time. Please sign up at the front desk. Because of a grant from the Harvard/Pilgrim Foundation, the first 10 people to sign up will pay $10 for the class and materiels. Those beyond the 10 will pay $15.00. Space is limited so sign up quickly.
Tuesday July 11 from 4:30-5:30 our Get Healthy program will start. This free program requires pre – registration. Call the front desk 508-657-2706. The program is designed to aid people to strengthen their core, their balance, learn new ways to eat and walk. Come and commit to three weeks, then you will be hooked.
On Wednesday, July 12 at 10:30, Marjorie Turner Holmann will present Easy Walks. This free program will show where there are easy walks around Bellingham that you can utilize at your leisure. Marjorie, who has written a book of the same name, will explain where to find them, how to find parking and other details of the walks. Please call to sign up.
On Thursday, July 13 at 1:00 will be a presentation by Herb Credon on The Dream Team, the 1967 Red Sox. Please sign up at the front desk for this free program.

On July 18 at 1:00 we will have our annual strawberry festival. Following indulging in strawberry shortcake, those who have signed up and paid $4.00 prior to the event, will be treated to a fabulous Elvis impersonator. Registration closes Friday, July 14.
July 18 at 7:00 p.m. Southern Rail will perform in our dining room. This great BlueGrass group has performed for us for several years to a packed room. The cost of attending is a donation of durable goods for the food pantry. Please sign up at the front desk no later than July 14.
On Friday. July 21 at 10:30 Gary Hylalnder will continue his Treason Season with a discussion about Tokyo Rose. If you have not experienced this raconteur’s interpretation of history you have a wonderful experience to look forward to. Please sign up at the front desk for free program.

On July 27 we will celebrate our July birthdays. The cost is $9.00 for a catered meal of spare ribs plus. Anyone celebrating their 90th birthday in July is invited to be our guests as long as they have notified the front desk.
Hundreds of people have been arrested on college campuses in the past two weeks for protesting Israel's bombing of the Gaza Strip. Anti-Israel protests have sprung up across the country since the NYPD arrested over 100 demonstrators at Columbia University on April 18th. Since then, protesting students have been setting up tents at campuses across the country.
