Columbia University students who have defied a school deadline to leave an on-campus pro-Palestinian encampment protest are now being suspended. A university spokesman says those students will not be allowed to attend classes or graduate. They may also lose their right to access the private Ivy League campus.        Four law enforcement officers are dead and several others are injured after a shootout in Charlotte, North Carolina. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Johnny Jennings says the officers were part of a fugitive task force serving a warrant at a home, when a suspect opened fire.        Secretary of State Antony Blinken is urging Hamas to accept Israel's latest proposal for a ceasefire deal that includes the release of hostages. While in Saudi Arabia Monday, Blinken called the deal "extraordinarily generous on the part of Israel" and called on the militant group to quickly accept it.       The Supreme Court is rejecting former Trump White House adviser Peter Navarro's bid to stay out of prison. Navarro was convicted in September for refusing to testify or provide documents to the House committee that investigated the attack on the U.S. Capitol.        A COVID-19 era hospital requirement ends this week. According to the CDC, hospitals are no longer required to report information pertaining to admissions, occupancy and other indicators of possible system stress from respiratory diseases to federal officials.        Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul will be a professional sanctioned fight.
