Hope Hicks says Donald Trump was concerned about his wife's reaction to a news story detailing a hush-money deal with a Playboy playmate. The "Wall Street Journal" broke the story days before the 2016 election about payments to Karen McDougal to conceal and alleged affair with Trump. Today on the witness stand, rump's former press secretary said Trump even made sure newspapers weren't delivered to his and Melania's home the morning the story ran.        An NYPD sergeant is being sent to retraining for accidentally firing his gun as police were clearing protesters at Columbia University. Officials say no one was injured in the incident which happened Tuesday as the sergeant was trying to gain entry into a locked office in Hamilton Hall. Officers in riot gear were attempting to clear out the violent protesters that forcibly took over the hall.        It turns out Russian forces and U.S. troops are temporarily operating out of the same military base in Niger [[ NEE-jair ]]. Reports say Russian forces are using a separate hangar and are not mingling with U.S. troops who are preparing to withdraw from the African country. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin downplayed the risks, telling reporters the Russians don't have access to U.S. forces or equipment.        The Justice Department is expected to indict Texas Democrat Henry Cuellar [[ kway-aar ]] and his wife. The details of the indictment are not clear at this time, but Cuellar denied any wrongdoing and vowed to run for re-election for his Texas seat in November. Cuellar's home and campaign office in Laredo, Texas were raided in 2022 as part of an investigation into Azerbaijan [[ a-zr-bai-jaan ]] and a group of American businessmen with ties to the country.        Toxic workplaces are causing one in five American workers to leave their current positions. That's according to a new survey from the American Psychological Association, which showed that 19-percent of employees in the U.S. say their workplace is somewhat or very toxic. Those who reported a toxic workplace also were shown to be more than three times as likely to say they've experienced harm to their mental health at work.       The puck drops tonight on a pair of game sixes in the NHL's Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Vancouver Canucks will head to Nashville to take on the Predators in game six. The Canucks lead that series three games to two. Then, the Dallas Stars will head to Vegas to face the Golden Knights in game six of that series. Dallas holds a three games to two series lead.
